PRAZZER- TEST LIQUID OF ACIDIC, ALKALINE, NEUTRAL


Appaatus :

Ø  1 Spotting tile
Ø  2 Pipette drops
Ø  3 Litmus paper
Ø  4 pH paper universal
Ø  5 glass chemist

Material:

Ø  1 Water
Ø  2 Salt
Ø  3 Detergent
Ø  4 Msg
Ø  5 Soap
Ø  6 Sugar
Ø  7 Milk
Ø  8 Baking soda
Ø  9 And some domestic substance

Steps

Ø  1 place the material in the spotting tile
Ø  2 put to the pipette drops of liquid, when solid, melted first with mineral water
Ø  3 place the material in the test at spotting tile and put a name to avoid confusion to enter data,
Ø  4  add a drop of each solution to the pH paper
Ø  5 using pH colour chart, estimate the pH value with pH Universal of each substance
Ø  6 Observe the change in colour. If the colour turns reddish, the chemical you are testing is an acid. If the water turns bluish, the chemical you are testing is a base. If it stays the same, the chemical is neutral, like water
Ø  7 after finish test material, complete data in the table result
Ø  8 after that make conclusion
