Detecting a pattern:
In the aftermath of Alex’s heart disease, he got angioplasty to open up a blocked artery and cholesterol lowering drugs. But a friend of him kept insisting that Alex look beyond the mainstream and visit another Doctor.
In 1996, a famous cardiologist, Robert Superko found that there are a lot more causes for a heart attack. In Alex’s case the cause was ‘LDL Pattern B’.
What is LDL Pattern B?
Superko and other experts believed that while the amount of bad cholesterol or LDL in your blood can be dangerous, the size of the LDL particle is even more important. IF they are extra small-A trait6 called LDL Pattern B- they are extra likely to produce a heart attack. That may be partly because the smaller particles slip easily in to the walls of the arteries where they more readily become arterial plaque. Pattern B patients also tent to have associated problems including low HDL levels and high triglycerides. Their HDL may be less efficient at its job of ferrying away bad cholesterol. Research on Americans suggests as many as one in three men and one in seven women have genes that predispose them to LDL pattern B. This condition is relatively easy to treat, requiring only diet low in saturated fat, exercise and regular doses of B vitamin Niacin to increase the size of the LDL particles.
An Accessory Villain- Inflammation:
In some people, the immune system launches a misguided attack within the blood vessels. What triggers the assault is not clear, but that smoldering inflammation can lead to the formation of plaque that is especially prone to rupture. When a patch erupts, blood clot can result.
A simple blood test can tell you if you are at risk by measuring the levels of a molecule called C-reactive protein. It is not that hard to rein in high CRP levels. Aspirin helps to reduce them as do the statin drugs used to treat high cholesterol.

Chlamydia Pneumoniae, a bug that causes respiratory infections has been linked with heart attacks.
Homocysteine, an amino acid can build up in the blood stream and may irritate the lining of the arteries. Experts suggest its significant relationship with heart attack. This condition can be effectively managed with diet containing adequate folic acid and vitamins B-6 and B-12.
A cholesterol; particle called lipoprotein (a) thought to help form blood clots. Studies have shown that 15 to 30 percent of people with early heart disease have high lipoprotein (a) levels. High doses of Niacin and Estrogen can bring LP (a) levels down.

• Computer
• 2Wire Wireless Gaming Adapter
• Wireless Router "I'm using a 2wire 2700 HG-B
• Vip, K series or receiver with ethernet
The first thing that you must do to setup your dish network receiver with the wireless gaming adapter is to configure the gaming adapter to be able to talk with your wireless router. So what you will need to do is plug the 2wire wireless adapter directly into your router and power the wireless adapter on. Then point a web browser to your routers default gateway. This will usually be 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254.
Once your web browser open up your wireless router's default gateway screen look for an option that will allow you to see the ip address of 2wire wireless gaming adapter. Once you find the wireless located in the list, click on view details to see the ip address.

Star Wars in 3D
With Dark of the Moon just being released 3D may not be a dead duck after all. Due to the movie being filmed using real 3D cameras and not done in post production it is one of the 3D films that is worth watching in the cinema. That is if you're convinced by 3D. Someone other than James Cameron that certainly is convinced is George Lucas. He is planning on releasing all six of the magnificent Star Wars movies in the cinemas in 3D starting with the Phantom Menace in 2012. This means we get to go the cinema and again marvel at the Sith, the Jedi and incredibly cool space battles. Here are the moments that I can't wait to see in 3D.
The prequel films were filmed using so much digital technology that if any films can be converted properly then it's these. I am saying that with pretty much no knowledge of how 3D and films works though so don't take my word for it.
In Phantom there are some fantastic moments that I'm looking forward to. The pod race will be absolutely mind blowing in 3D. Watching Darth Maul light up his double edged light sabre will be something. It will be cool to see what a light sabre battle looks like in 3D. And of course, who could forget Jar Jar Binks. Seeing that loveable misfit going into a battle should be pretty special.
In Attack there are lots of moments to choose from. The speeder chase through Coruscant, Jango Fett in 3D, the Battle of Geonosis. A digital Yoda flying through the air in the climactic battle is another favourite for me.
In Revenge the main thing I'll be looking forward to is the space battle above Coruscant at the start of the film. Obi Wan and Anakins lightsabre duel will look brilliant in 3D.
As for the old Star wars trilogy? Well no one really liked them anyway so I doubt they will be big hits in 3D. We all know that's nonsense. Seeing Darth Vader, Han and Chewie, The Millenium Falcon, The Death Star, Star Destroyers and the speeder bike chase in 3D. There's a good chance my head will explode. One of the problems with 3D for me though is that after about ten minutes into the film the novelty wears off and I'm left watching a darkly lit movie with glasses on. The classic trilogy has been watched countless times by fans so it will be a good test to see whether we notice the difference or not.

However, this is a new technology and it is not surprising that there are disadvantages to using it.
