Formulas for Winning the Oscar

The entire American film industry and the world are competing to produce the best work to earn the prestigious annual Oscar awards. A study had revealed elements of a film that usually emerges as the winner.
The study was conducted National Film and Television School (NFTs), and led by British producer Nik Powell and Duncan Bruce graduated NFTs. The simple formula: prepare a young star, 32-year-old star and leading man aged 43 years. Bring them in a film drama lasted 140 minutes, then release the film in October. Voila!
But, really that simple? The following details the results of research on the Oscar-winning film formula, as reported by Femalefirst, Tuesday (02/21/2012):
* The average age of Best Actress winner today is 32 years old, while the average age of the Best Actor winner was 43 years old.
* The average length of a film that won best is two hours 20 minutes, with a preference for 'dramatic intimacy', like 'The Hurt Locker' and 'The King's Speech'.
* A new actresses and actors usually Actress and Best Actor win after two or three times nominated. Since 2000, only four-star who won the Best Actor trophy from their first nomination.
* The average age of the recipient for Best Director trophy in 12 years was 53 years (up from 44 in the 1990s)
* If a film was awarded Best Picture, the director will also almost certainly win. In the past 50 years, winning Best Film and Best Director differ only seven times.
* A good sign for Michelle Williams, who at the age of 32 years was nominated Best Actress for her role 'My Week with Marilyn'. However, with Meryl Streep holds the record for most Oscar nominations as a rival, 'The Iron Lady' can not be underestimated.
Best Picture
* In the past, rarely guaranteed that the Best Picture winner will automatically win a category of scenarios. Films like 'Lawrence of Arabia', 'Rocky', 'Titanic', 'The English Patient', 'The Deer Hunter' and 'Platoon' all won Best Picture without winning any of the categories of scenarios.
However, in recent years there has been a trend toward linking the two awards. In the last 12 years only three winners who failed to win a Best Picture Oscar scenario ('Million Dollar Baby', 'Chicago' and 'Gladiator').
* Best Actress and Best Actor - the perfect partner
This study has identified a trend for the Best Actress award will be given to a young actress. As a result, only four famous women since 1990 (Bullock, Mirren, Sarandon and Bates) who was awarded Best Actress at the age of 40 years.
In contrast, the Best Actor award is much more difficult to predict. Jeff Bridges won the award for 'Crazy Heart' was 60 years old, while Adrien Brody became the youngest actor's award-winning 'The Pianist' at the age of 29 years.
* Best Director - age is just a number
Recipient of the Best Director Oscar Clint Eastwood is the oldest (74 years) for his 'Million Dollar Baby', and the youngest in the modern era is the winner Sam Mendes at the age of 34 for his 'American Beauty'.
* Length
Based on recent results, the average length of winning Best Picture is two hours 20 minutes. Luckily for lovers of film with a short duration, during the era of 80 to 90's, the film lasts almost three hours and above who successfully won the 'Amadeus', 'Out of Africa', 'The Last Emperor', 'Dances With Wolves' , 'Schindler's List', 'Braveheart', 'The English Patient' and 'Titanic'.
