Uproar, Facebook Tell a Third World War


Did you receive a Facebook message telling me the third world war? Be careful, cyber criminals are trying to ensnare victims through the scam.

The latest scam was circulating on Facebook that trick users into downloading a report on behalf of CNN. In fact, the report is malware or a malicious program.

Reported by Big News Networks and quoted on Wednesday (02/08/2012), these scam touting attack the United States (U.S.) to Iran and Saudi Arabia as a sign ditabuhnya third world war drums.

To be more convincing, the report includes a CNN logo and offers a video breaking news about the news. But to see it, the user is prompted to upgrade Flash software. When users upgrade their devices infected with the trojan.

Video is often used as a 'teaser' for the spread of malware by the scammer. Because the users computer usually believe when asked to upgrade software such as Flash.

An expert from the internet and computer security firm Sophos reported, at least 60 thousand people became victims of this scam.

"To be safe, you should scan your computer with the latest anti-virus software and make sure you have the most updated security shield," said Graham Cluley of Sophos.
