Dead girl in the leopard's mouth


Terrible! A leopard tearing and devouring the body of a 14-year-old girl in western Nepal. This is the fifth deadly attack by a leopard in the last two months in Nepal.

Time of the incident, the girl was cutting grass in the woods near his home district of Baitadi, on the border with India.

"Local residents found the body was dismembered and ripped the bottom of the neck is eaten in the forest yesterday," said Bishnu Bahadur Karki, a local police officer told AFP on Thursday (09/02/2012).

It is said Karki, before the incident on Wednesday, February 8, three daughters and a 35-year-old pregnant woman was also attacked by the leopard was killed.

"The leopard continued to take casualties and terrorize villagers Pancheshwor. We asked the district forestry office to allow us to kill the animal. But they refused, arguing that there is no law that gives permission," said Karki.

"We demand that the leopard was handed over to the zoo is also rejected. Villagers and police were trying hard to catch the leopard," he added.

Villagers claim, three others have been attacked by a leopard was killed in a nearby settlement on the border of India.

"We are afraid to walk alone," said Shiva Singh Saud, head of the local elementary school, told Republica newspaper based in Kathmandu.

"It would be a lot of people who might be attacked if the leopard is not controlled immediately," he said.
