Laser Printers Save More Than 60% Inkjet


Consumers in Indonesia are perhaps more interested in a cheap inkjet printer than a laser printer. But it turns out, the use of laser printers is claimed is much more efficient in the long run.

"It's the price of laser printers are more expensive than inkjet. But in the long run, the use of laser printers can be more cost effective to 60%," said Jolene Yeo, Marketing Manager of Fuji Xerox in the Asean Energy Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (08/02/2012) .

Calculations are based on estimated use of 36 thousand paper for 3 years. Costs incurred by the laser printer is estimated at USD 1368 USD 3600 compared with inkjet printers.

Yeo also claimed that laser printers are more qualified than inkjet technology. For example, do the print speed can be more concise and better print results.

Fuji Xerox laser printer predict eventually will be more attractive than inkjet printers. They were trying to educate consumers in Indonesia about the advantages of laser printer.

"In the SME sector, that many would switch to using a laser printer," said Yeo. In 2012, the growth of laser printer market in Indonesia is projected around 17%.
