Google Chrome is finally landing on Android

After a long awaited, Google finally released a Chrome for Android. Unfortunately this new beta version of Android is for Ice Cream Sandwich. But the ability of the browser application is claimed to be not much different from the desktop version.

For instance, the user may be possible to use the 'omnibox' where the URL of a website appear in Google search box. Chrome also offers a mode 'Incognito' is constructed in a built-in. This mode allows the user's web browsing activities without leaving a trace.

But not all the features of desktop version can be enjoyed on the phone and Android tablet. Among a number of features that are not presented in the version of Chrome for Android is the ability to open a browser tab with an unlimited amount.

"But just like the version dekstopnya, Chrome for Android focuses on speed and simplicity," said Sundar Pichai, senior vice president of Chrome & apps.

Quoted from LATimes, Wednesday (02/08/2012), by far, the application is not available for other versions of Android. For the Ice Cream Sandwich version of himself, he is still a beta format so some bugs are still found.

Ice Cream Sandwich is now available for Samsung Nexus and tablet Asus Galaxy Prime Transformer. Google promises, the availability of such applications will soon be realized for mobile phones and other tablets in the next few months.

"Our long-term plan is to make Chrome as default browser in Android," Google spokesman added. Unfortunately when judging the Android Market site, Indonesia has not entered into the list of countries that can enjoy the application.
